It shouldn't be any surprise. Justin Bieber is the king of YouTube!
Justin Bieber's video, "Baby," has been watched more than 246 million times on YouTube!!
The video, which features rapper Ludacris, is now the most watched video on YouTube. The announcement was made yesterday via YouTube's Twitter account.
As of 2 p.m. today, the video had been viewed 246,295,440 times since it was posted on YouTube on Feb. 19.
Bieber tweeted, "what is goin on with the BABY video on youtube is crazy...i started on youtube so the support...well i just need to say thank u."
Bieber's mentor Usher would be very proud, or perhaps a little jealous.
Usher's videos have posted some big numbers on YouTube as well.
Usher's "Make Love In This Club" has been viewed more than 40 million times, and "OMG" has topped more than 19 million views.
But none come close to the views garnered by the 16-year-old Canadian sensation, who was originally discovered on YouTube.
To gain the prestigious viral honor, Bieber surpassed Lady Gaga's video for "Bad Romance," which has been watched 245,654,289 times since it was posted on Nov. 23.
Bieber praised Gaga on Twitter saying, "someone just showed me and i just need to say that @ladygaga is an incredible artist who have great respect 4. and her vid is incredible.."
Bieber went on to Tweet, "so it doesnt matter who has more views what matters is that we have incredible fans that support us...that im sure we are both greatful 4."
Bieber, who has more than three million followers on Twitter, had to thank his dedicated fans.
He tweeted, "so thanks...like i said i started on youtube so...WOW!! Love u and wish u all the best in each and every one of ur lives. Thanks Beliebers!"
I'm sure Gaga's "Little Monsters" won't take this defeat without a fight. I wouldn't be surprised if we see campaigns by Gaga fans to overtake Bieber.
This could get ugly.
