Remembering Marvin

Marvin Gaye would have been 70-years-old today.

Unfortunately, 25 years from yesterday one of the greatest soul singers was tragically shot and killed by his own father.

I was barely six months old when Marvin Gaye was killed, but his music and legacy has lived on.

Today, we remember Marvin. The man. The musician. And the leader for many singers of our modern day.

Today, I ask myself, 'What would Marvin do?' What would Marvin do if he saw these "singers" using auto tunes on their hit singles? What would Marvin do if he saw shows like "American Idol?" What would Marvin do if he heard the MTV All-Star version of 'What's Going On?"

Here are some YouTube clips:

Marvin Gaye singing the National Anthem

Marvin Gaye -- "Sexual Healing"
