Dipset rapper sought by police

Darnell Brittingham aka King Tut of 730 Dips

First, let me start by saying the following news is courtesy of Record newspaper [of Hackensack, N.J.]. This news is not courtesy of or any of these other online hip-hop Web sites, whose "writers" troll the Internet for a story to "copy and paste." No disrespect, but if you are going to lift a story you could at least give credit to the source and link to the page where you got your info. I digress.
On Wednesday morning, I got word that rapper Juelz Santana had been arrested on drug charges in Fort Lee, N.J on Tuesday night. However, after further investigation it turned out that it was actually a Dipset affiliate known as King Tut. [I don't know how anyone could confuse the two]
I wrote the story about King Tut and his promoter being busted by the cops for having a teddy bear stuffed with cocaine and marijuana in their possession.

The duo was later released on bail on early Thursday morning.

Now, King Tut has found himself in more trouble as Hackensack have named him as the suspect in a stabbing that was reported around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Police say a 23-year-old woman was stabbed seven times. Her injuries were not considered life-threatening.

As of Friday afternoon, police were still searching for the rapper.

Who is King Tut?:
King Tut, of Weaverville, N.C., is an unsigned artist and affiliated with rap entourage 730 Dips, a subset of the Harlem-based group known as the Diplomats or Dipset, according to his MySpace page. Dipset members have included rappers Cam'Ron, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana and Freekey Zekey.

Please follow for more. Don't let these hip-hop sites fool you. There is very little original reporting being done there. Not hating, just telling the truth.
